Brush Plating

The brush plating method is ideally suited to treat small localized areas or the entire surface of parts and components for a wide variety of industries.

Applying a concentrated electrolyte plating solution with saturated custom fit anodes; our brush plating can reach thicknesses from .0005” up to .007” per side. Brush Plating provides for excellent thickness control allowing us to bring the component back to the specified size, tolerance and surface finish with little or no post-machining required in most cases. Plated surfaces also offer wear and corrosion resistance. Brush plating is often utilized to tighten up bearing fits.

Brush Plating is a cost effective alternative to scrapping a part with an out of spec dimension. An environmentally friendly process, brush plating produces minimal volumes of waste. Metallic Bonds can handle parts too large for conventional tank plating. Bearings, journals, and seal areas are just a few examples where brush plating is a practical option. The brush plating process does not cause distortion, warping, or cracking.
