Traction & Grip Coatings

Metallic Bonds sprayed textures replace blasting, threading and knurling with long lasting functional surfaces. With a wide variety of materials and textures available, traction and grip coatings can be tailored to meet customer specifications with surface finishes ranging from Ra 115 to Ra 800.

Traction and grip coatings are widely utilized for rollers, drums and gripper pulleys, eliminating slippage and wrinkles while improving tension control, web tracking and overall performance. Other parts include collets, part holders and tooling fixtures where components must be held in place.

Our coatings do not cause part distortion, warping, cracking or a metallurgical change to the base metal. The target area is easily isolated by masking. Application processes typically include Arc Spray, Flame Spray or Metallizing.
